Praxis is a next-generation smart-factory solution for Sheet-metal. Praxis combines the powers of the CAD, CAM and NC systems to offer the highest level of productivity and performance to its users. At its core, it uses the intelligence of the Flux engine with the capabilities of MetaCAM to offer a seamless solution. Praxis provides a unified interface to control the sheet-metal production using a highly automated routing of data between the Design, Programming and Shop-floor departments. It provides a very intuitive part routing chain that uses the full power of Flux and MetaCAM to speculatively tool-up parts for all possible machines. This provides great flexibility in deciding which machines are used to process each batch of parts, and allows such decisions to be deferred until production is imminent.
